British Heroes of the Storm player and Team Dignitas member Joshua “Snitch” Bennett has told eSports News UK the scene needs time to grow.
When asked what he thinks of the competitive HotS scene in the UK, as part of a Reddit AMA, the 19-year-old replied: “I doubt there’s much of a growing Heroes scene yet, although I do know a fair few players from the UK who play.
“I think for now it’s probably better to focus on the UK players who are at the top of the scene as I think it’ll be a while until a proper UK scene establishes itself.”
On HotS’ playerbase, he said: “I can’t really predict if the player base will grow bigger but as far as I know it’s still growing, so I’m confident the game will continue to get larger.”
Snitch won the Heroes of the Storm Spring EU Championship with Team Dignitas at Intel Extreme Masters Katowice last weekend, beating mYinsanity 3-0 in the final. Both teams have qualified for the global Heroes of the Storm Spring Championship, which takes place in Seoul, South Korea from April 1st to 3rd.
On Dignitas’ chances in that tournament, and competing with other teams from around the world, Snitch said: “I think we’ll definitely be able to compete with all international teams. In the past we’ve had strong individual performances from EU even on the global stage and at least last time our meta was definitely ahead, so I’d definitely say we have a shot at least.
“[Our biggest rivals in Seoul] is likely to be MVP Black, but I guess we’ll see. C9 have surprised me before and I wouldn’t put it past them to do it again.
“I’m positive going into Seoul as I think this line-up is the best I’ve ever played with and I’m excited to see what we can do.
“I think the Korean teams are strong, but I’ve never been blown away by the Chinese ones. Hopefully they prove me wrong in Korea!”
The most important question of the AMA was the following: What kind of hair products do you use for that lovely shine, and how long does it take you to style at the start of the day ?

This is the product I use along with the matching conditioner. It really gives you that next level, Katowice-winning shine.

“I actually just blowdry my hair after a shower to get it looking how it does. Truly next level strats.”
You’ve got to look good when you’re winning, right?
