UK-based eSports organisation Perilous Gaming has branched out into new games as it expands its horizons.
The org has announced a new Street Fighter V line-up, consisting of Afsar “Afii” Ali, Marcus “Packz” Parker and academy players Assad “Suleymon” Suliman and Connor “0Naught” McNaughton.
Some of its players are regularly earning Capcom Pro Tour points around Europe, and all four players will be taking part in SFV tournaments like VSF6 in August.
Afii and Packz have both reached the top right in the first big SFV tournament of the year at Hypespotting V.
“With UK tournaments like Insomnia57 and Hypespotting V already taking place, it was always on the cards that we would look to support Street Fighter,” the org said in a statement.
The org currently has teams in League of Legends, SFV, Dota 2, CSGO and Team Fortress 2 (TF2).
Its majority UK TF2 team will be out in Sweden competing at DreamHack next month, before the big TF2 competition in August at i-series/i58.
The Perilous TF2 roster consists of manager/sub Sideshow, as well as kos, alle, Mike, Silentes, Astt and Thalash.

“Last time with TF2 we were very much in our early days without any real structure. This is the first real time we’ve had people going abroad and getting themselves to international events. It feels a lot more real, now.”

Mick Hartley, owner of Perilous Gaming, told eSports News UK: “TF2 and SFV are taking off for us right now in terms of success.
“SFV is a brand new game for us – it’s only a couple of months old – but we dabbled with TF2 years ago.
“Last time we were very much in our early days without any real structure. I think this is the first real time we’ve had people going abroad and getting themselves to international events. It feels a lot more real, now.”
Perilous is also hoping to expand into other games such as Mortal Kombat and Smash Bros in the future, and has hinted at forming an Overwatch team.

How will Overwatch change the UK eSports landscape?

“We are looking to expand into further fighting games too, as a note after the SFV announcement and with TF2, there’s also been some comparison made to Overwatch – and we have a keen eye on the current UK scene development,” Hartley added.
Perilous recently announced some changes to its Perilous Void League of Legends line-up.
