Team Infused upset Rise Nation at COD Champs

Infs upset Rise 1

Team Infused have caused even more upsets at the Call of Duty World League Championship by beating Rise Nation in Round 1 of the Championship Bracket, Jacob Hale reports.
The win comes after yesterday’s tense 3-way tiebreaker between Infused, Mindfreak and Lethal Gaming, in which Infused managed to win out and secure the final spot for bracket play.
Now, they have taken a 3-1 win against Rise Nation, losing only the first Hardpoint to the CWL Vegas winners.
Following the opening Hardpoint on Retaliation, in which Rise won 250-177, Infused turned it up a notch and gained a convincing 6-3 Search and Destroy win on Crusher.
The momentum followed Infused into the Uplink on Frost, which they won again in convincing fashion at 12-5.
The last map of the series was Throwback Hardpoint, a very closely-contested map all throughout. This is reflected in the final score of the map which Infused just scraped a win in at 250-247.
This all begs the question; how far can this Infused team go? There is no denying that they have continued to exceed expectations this weekend and, with a match against FaZe Clan coming up tomorrow for a top six placing, we would really like to see them cause even more upsets going into the final two days of the tournament.
They, along with Splyce, head in to Saturday with a strong uphill struggle, the fight for top eight being a closely contested one between Call of Duty’s elite. With only three UK teams remaining following Fnatic’s early departure, can Infused keep the dream alive and do the impossible?
