Team Vitality acquire new Call of Duty roster ahead of CWL Birmingham

Team Vitality new roster 1

Team Vitality have picked up a new group of British players for their Call of Duty team to accompany Frenchman Wailers “Wailers” Locart.
The new team, who have their sights set firmly on Stage 2 of the Global Pro League, sees Wailers joined by veteran Shane “Shane” McKerral, Adam “Defrag” Matthews and Deleo “Zerg”.
They will compete together for the first time next week at iSeries’ CWL Birmingham event, with a $50,000 prize pool and 30,000 pro points to be split between the top eight teams.
Team Vitality have been present in the European Call of Duty scene since 2013, with a range of the UK’s top players calling the organisation home at some point or another.
Despite being in the scene for so long, Vitality said in their announcement that they have ‘not been able to field a roster that fit us on the Infinite Warfare opus’, and refer to Call of Duty as their ‘first love’.
This team seems set to fight for promotion into the Global Pro League during Stage 1 Relegation, but a good placement at CWL Birmingham is an absolute necessity should they wish to make up for Defrag’s complete lack of pro points.
This announcement is particularly special for Defrag, who celebrated his 18th birthday the day the news broke.

Team Vitality have been placed in Group C for CWL Birmingham alongside Fnatic and Epsilon Esports – more on that to come soon.
We wish the best of luck to Team Vitality, and to Defrag, Shane and Zerg!
