Multiplay has confirmed the UK Masters will return in the spring with more details and changes to the new season.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will take center stage as the sole title of the spring season, where teams will compete for a £15,000 prize pool and prizes will be awarded for each map win. B
But League of Legends and Hearthstone tournaments won’t take place this split (see below).
The CSGO UK Masters split will be broadcast from the UK Masters studio and streamed on their new Twitch Channel.
Games will be played over three nights from 7pm to 11pm, with matches rebroadcast on the UK Masters Facebook page the following day.
The UK Masters is also changing how teams qualify. Four teams will be given direct invites to the league, while the other four spots will be made up of teams qualifying through two open qualifiers.
These qualifiers will start on February 8th and 9th, with sign-ups open now. The announcement also brought confirmation that the grand final will be played at Insomnia60 from April 14th to 17th at the Birmingham NEC. Matches will take place over five weeks, with the final four teams reaching the playoffs.

What about League of Legends?

While the new season is good news for the CSGO community, League of Legends and Hearthstone fans might be disappointed to see their games being withdrawn from the new season.
However, Multiplay did state it’s keen to bring LoL back for the summer 2017 season.
