In the first in a series of hype videos looking at the upcoming teams in the ESL UK League of Legends 2016 summer split, our focus is on MnM Gaming.
MnM picked up the former roster of ManaLight, after ManaLight folded.
In this video, MnM coach Rob Allen looks back on ManaLight as a team, and why the roster can be a success again with MnM.
“Phurion has bags of potential, Larssen can beat anyone 1v1 mid-lane. Maybe he doesn’t win the first or second time, but you know he will eventually beat them,” he said.
“Then you have Rifty and Hadow who have such unique personalities, they just complete the roster. It was really special.
“When ManaLight began, I really had a vision of what I wanted to build. And it took a while but by the end of it, everyone had bought into that vision of what we wanted to achieve. We didn’t achieve it fully but all had a really strong desire to go on and do more.”
Jungler Phurion added: “I think we’re the most disappointed because we all saw the potential that the ManaLight roster had.
“So obviously when MnM approached us and said they wanted to pick up as the entire organisation, we were obviously very pleased, as it gave us a chance to finish what we started.”
Kalvin Chung, MnM’s owner, also speaks in the video.
